Before Your Move

What you need to know before moving day

To help your move run smoothly, please review the important information below regarding settlement, privacy and payment arrangements.

House Contracts & Settlement

What you need to know before moving day

In most circumstances, the seller must provide vacant possession at settlement. This usually means moving day and settlement day are the same.

To avoid delays or uncertainty:

  • Confirm the settlement date and time with your solicitor or conveyancer as soon as possible after contracts are exchanged.
  • Notify Crichton Removals of the confirmed date and time to assist with scheduling.
  • If unexpected delays arise, contact us promptly to discuss available options and reduce unnecessary stress.

We recommend notifying family and friends of your new address directly.
